Introduction to Industrial Hygiene

Industrial hygiene is the discipline of reducing worker injury due to chemical and other exposure hazards. Upon completion of this learning event, employees will demonstrate knowledge of the background, principles and role of industrial hygiene. Employees will learn the history of industrial hygiene, major roles of industrial hygiene in workplaces, and the types of workplace hazards industrial hygiene addresses and how they are controlled.
