Industrial Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the process of reducing worker injury through effective workplace design. Upon completion of this learning event, employees will demonstrate knowledge of ergonomics in industrial settings to reduce injury. Employees will learn how to identify ergonomic risk factors, potential injuries, and methods to minimize or eliminate ergonomic hazards.

1. Introduction and objectives
2. Identify ergonomic risk factors in the workplace
3. Recognize the potential injuries from poor ergonomic design
4. Identify ergonomic controls used to reduce injuries
5. Recall the process of reporting ergonomic problems
6. Identify the role of the employee in an ergonomic program.
