Flammable and Combustible Liquids

On completion of this training program, the participant will be able to demonstrate following knowledge

1. different flammable and combustible liquid hazards
2. how to minimize or eliminate those hazards

Participant will learn how to identify flammable and combustible liquid hazards with Material Safety Data Sheets and labeling, and how to select hazard prevention measures.

This program is intended to assist the industries in meeting OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.106. 

Content of the course

1. Introduction and objectives
2. Identify hazards of flammable and combustible liquids
3. Recognize ways to identify flammable and combustible liquids
4. Select hazard prevention measures
5. Describe the basics of handling spills or leaks.

Workplace specific information will need to be provided by the employer.  The employer may also be interest in these following courses; Hazard Communication, Material Safety Data Sheets, Basic Chemical Safety Awareness, Fire Safety for Employees and Portable Fire Extinguishers.
