Upon completion of this learning event, the learner will demonstrate followings knowledge

1. Basic respiratory hazards
2. Types of respiratory technology and how to use it on the job.
3. types of potential inhalation hazards,
4. the different respirator types and their uses,
5. how to carryout fit test a respirator mask, and
6. Respirator care, life and its maintenance.

This course is intended to assist the employer in meeting OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.134, Respiratory Protection.

Essential workplace specific information and hands-on training information

In addition to this course, the employer might also provide courses covering Hazard Communication, and Personal Protective Equipment.

3. Recognize the potential inhalation hazards
4. Distinguish between and identify appropriate respirator types
5. Recognize different cartridges and their uses
6. Identify the different requirements of fit testing
7. Identify requirements for wearing respirators and care of respirators
